“This Is It” with Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and director Evan Goldeberg. Seth was cosplaying as fellow Canadian, Wolverine. Director Evan Goldberg showed up in a gimp costume even though “AdultCon was last week,” Seth pointed out. (It was indeed last week, so I hear.) They premiered several clips from their upcoming apocalypse comedy that happens during a party at James Franco’s house (they all play themselves), including a scene of Michael Cera’s death and “The Exorcism of Jonah Hill.”
“Evil Dead” with Bruce Campbell, Jane Levy, Jessica Lucas, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci and director Fede Alvarez. It sounds like they put Jane through the wringer with all the practical effects she had to endure for this horror reboot. The panel premiered a new trailer along with an extended clip (introduced by the original’s director, Sam Raimi) which had the audience squirming to scenes of a needle being extracted from beneath someone’s eye, a tongue being forked via licking a knife and a self-mutilation of someone slicing out her entire cheek.
